Each year, Oklahoma City becomes home to individuals and families who have been resettled as refugees by the United Nations. After fleeing war and persecution, they have the chance to experience a new start as our new neighbors and friends.

The Common asks the question, “How can Oklahoma City be the most welcoming community in the world?” In partnership with the refugee community of our city, The Spero Project facilitates the The Common, ensuring that every new neighbor has access to the tangible assistance and meaningful relationships needed to thrive in their new home.
