Our Method
The Spero Project works to mobilize the Church--including local churches, universities, missions training organizations, youth programs and more--to engage in under-resourced populations through relational, "incarnational" ministry. It is not our goal to run programs. Rather, we envision a world where followers of Jesus are released to use their skills and passions for the glory of God and for the good of others. We believe that everyone can take ownership of one piece of the puzzle; and when each piece fits together, the result is holistic care in Jesus' Name.
So, you may notice that we do have some programs running. That's not meant to be confusing. It just means that we've entered into a new under-resourced population and are carrying the weight of starting and managing programs/activities/ministries there until we identify local church partners who have become fully prepared (trained, prayerful, resourced) to take ownership of that program or ministry.
